Connolly Hospital has saluted and celebrated seven heroes, people and teams who are making a difference and helping colleagues and patients in these challenging times.

Hero of the Day – 12th of June
Marie Murray, Director of Operations
Marie dedication and commitment knows no bounds. Nothing is ever too challenging and she completes her work with a smile.
Hero of the Day – 2nd of June
Bernie Love – Pharmacy Department
Bernie goes above and beyond at all times. She does her work with a smile and nothing was ever too challenging.
Hero of the Day – 22nd of May
Medical Human Resources Team – Mary McNeill, Catherine Fitzsimons and Teresa Bislin
Mary, Teresa and Catherine have managed to keep the ever changing medical rosters updated and shifts filled, including recruiting an additional 24 medical staff to support the medical workforce and 28 interns. This has all been done while adapting to new interview methods and with helpful smiles and a positive attitude.

Prof Trevor Duffy Consultant Rheumatologist and Maeve Bradley (Lead NCHD)
Prof. Duffy & Dr. Bradley were nominated for going above and beyond at all times. They complete their work with a smile and nothing is ever too challenging.

Connolly Hospital Nursing Teams
Throughout the hospitals, our teams of nursing are supporting patients on their clinical journey and providing support to families as visiting is restricted.

These Staff Nurses are solution-focused people. They have demonstrated consistent positive attitudes despite all the ongoing challenges.
Hero of the Day – 1st of May
Anthony Clarkin – Pharmacy Department
Anthony has been phenomenal since the start of COVID-19. Among many tasks he undertakes preparatory work, ensuring safe and appropriate receipt of pharmaceutical goods as well training up new staff. Anthony is a rock of the department.
